Here we go a caroling

I LOVED this picture that my friend Brooke sent out of the kiddos caroling for Joy school.  Melinda and Robyn braved the elements and the kids and took them out for a singing experience.  I wasn't able to see it, but the picture says it all.  Abbi is the puffy green marshmallow.  How cute are they?
Merry Christmas!

A little trip to paradise

Okay to start off this long reverse order post.............................did you catch what Kennedy's shirt said?
That's right.....in case you haven't heard, we are expecting our third child during the first week of June.  I preface this post with that announcement because my brain seems to have left me.  Example number one: all of the following pictures are in the reverse order.  Grrrrr..Who has the time or energy to re-organize.  Not me...hope you enjoy them anyway.

As you read the following long posts, be prepared to point and laugh at the Mason Family.  We had a great vacation, but boy was it filled with moments of "really?"  A gigantic thanks to the Harr's for putting up with us anyway.
Family pics....always a blessed occasion.  =)  Notice the bandage on Rizz's thumb, he got a good gash when he reached inside the dishwasher for a spoon and instead came out with gushing blood from a knife.  Good thing Dr. Greg was in the house.
Kenny was not in the mood for pics.  Abbi is showing you what she thought of the vacation!  Pure joy!  She officially wants to move to Hawaii and asks everyday why we can't go to Hawaii today.  I feel her pain!
Kennedy entertaining us at the Luau.  We went to a great luau at the Marriott end our vacation.  There was singing, dancing with a special appearance by Hunter, a crazy hat lady, good food, oh and a great fire dancer.
Kids look so excited to be at the luau.  Waiting for the festivities to begin.

This place was awesome.  It was located at the end of the road at Hawi.  The hike down was gorgeous and the small forest on the ground provided lots of play.
The gang on the teeter-totter.  Notice the ratio for the balance.
My Boo showing off the beautiful scenery.
Abigail loved this rope swing and was a daredevil!

Of course, Kennedy had to have her turn.  Nice and easy for Ken.

I forgot the name of this beach, but we had tons of fun seeing bunches of sea turtles, jumping the waves, and watching Hunter fight a crab and win.

I Loved this butt shot of Ken.  She'll hate me for it later, but I couldn't resist.

The crab that Hunter caught.  Rizz tried to pick it up.  He was pinched.  This crab was a fighter.  You should've seen him in his fighting stance.

One of the numerous turtle we saw.  This guy decided to sunbathe, little did he know he was going to be a main attraction.

The family with the sea turtle.

This was at the warming pools on the Hilo side of the island.  Abigail got out of the water and decided to do the "I am a little tea pot" pose.  She is so funny!

Black sand beach.  It look like all of the kids had scruffy beards and mustaches.  Another gorgeous beach with a CRAZY road down.  You had to have four wheel drive.  It was like a roller coaster in a car!

What are we going to do about that thumb?  Kenny sportin' the local vegetation.

We had a wonderful time at the Hilton.  The kids went down waterslides, played in the lagoon, soaked in the hot tubs, and checked out the dolphins.  Awesome day.  Abbi and Ryder rollin' down the hill.

Me and my Kenny watching Greg and Hunter play human checkers.

Boo strikin' her pose.  She loved being at the Hilton since the water was not salty or waving.  She kept wanting to go down the slides over and over.

Our girls were such good travelers.  Kenny usually always snuck in a nap during the day, which I was so grateful for!  This is when I love her thumb.

Abbi was in heaven being with the "boys". In fact she informed me before we came home that she want to go back and live with the boys, not with me.  =(

Strikin' a pose with the tiger statue at the Hilton Resort.

The second beach day, we were able to get into Mauna Kea.  It  is beautiful, secluded, and awesome!  You have to get a special parking pass and they go fast.  Kenny liked to play with the hippo in the sand, not in the water!

Again, Abigail was in HEAVEN!  She loved the beach, loved jumping the waves, loved wearing shorts everyday, loved the sunshine!  Who can blame her?

My Kenny.  She liked the ocean from afar.  She fared pretty well on the beach.

I love this pic!  It truly shows you how much fun the kids had.

We had such a great trip thanks to the Harr's and their amazing hospitality.  Just to let you know some of the stuff they had to put up with:
-Rizz currently has a bulging disc and is limited in his activity and not able to lift anything.  Poor guy.  Greg was awesome and always came to my jeep to see if he could help load stuff.
-I lost my wallet not once, but twice.  Yes, I got it back both times.  Did I mention I was pregnant?  After the second time, I didn't even want to hang out with myself.
-I am super sick with this baby and wasn't always the best company
-Rizz sliced his thumb
-On the flight home, Rizz was super dehydrated and almost passed out and had to have special medical care.  Long story.
-Many other things that I have already blocked out.

A huge thank you goes out to the Harr's for making our vacation so wonderful.  They earned sainthood by putting up with us.

Kennedy's Two!!!!!

 Happy Birthday Boo!!!

Poor Kenny has been shortchange on both of her birthdays so far.  Last year I was recovering from my ACL surgery and this year Rizz has a bulging disc and I am not feeling well.............needless to say, she is still loved and will be plenty spoiled the rest of her life.

Kennedy got more into her cake this year than last.  Funny thing, she ate it from the bottom up.  She wanted pink frosting.  The girl knows her colors and she definitely knows what she wants!
Kenny was all business when it came to opening presents.
Oh, boy, a piano from Papa and Grandma.  The girls turn on the demo mode and dance until mommy gets sick of the music.
Kennedy shares a birthday with her cousin Haylee.  This is a picture of the two on their real birthdays!  Aren't they adorable?  Okay, Kenny is adorable and Haylee is beautiful.  Love them both!

Happy Birthday Kennedy!  You have brought so much joy and laughter into our home.  Things that you can do/know right now:
-recognize all of the letters of the alphabet, and sounds to most of them
-point out all of the colors that you see
-you ADORE animals and play with them all the time (figurines)
-you want to know what everything says
-you love to dance and shake your bum
-you love to make mom and dad laugh......"hey guys, no more boobin'!" (that means crying)
-you are best friends with your sister
-you say the best prayers
-you love to sing songs and do the actions
-talk in complete sentences and amaze us all the time with your vocabulary
-you are very demanding, but oh so loveable.

Halloween!

My little mermaid and birthday princess at "trunk or treat".  This year the girls trick or treated around the rooms at our church.  It was a little crazy, but allowed us to show off our cute costumes.

Kenny's birthday (post to come soon) was on the same day as the Halloween party, so she was a birthday princess.  She stopped wearing her crown before I could get a picture.

The girls in action.
Kennedy did such a great job of say "trick or treat".  She also loved picking out the candy herself.  Sis was still a little shy and just said please. Both the girls had a great time filling their pumpkins.
Happy Halloween!

Kamie Jo's Wedding

"Club Klondike Girls"
Me, Mindy, Kamie Jo, and Tiff.
We all lived together for a couple of years on Klondike road in Anchorage.  Those were the days of constant play.  =)  I have such fond memories with these girls.

It's crazy that just two weeks ago I was basking in the sunshine in Utah at Kam's wedding!  I was able to fly down for four days and see my beloved Kam get sealed in the Mt. Timp. temple.  Of course, I cried like a baby, but only cause I love her so.

The Massey Clan
What a wonderful family!  I was roomies with both Tiff and Kamie Jo for three years.

It was such a beautiful day!

My only regret of the whole trip, is I didn't take more pics.  I was blessed to be able to see some of my best friends and family while there, and yet no pics.  This is Caroline.  We taught our first year of Physical Education together.  We shared tons of laughs and frustrations thanks to our middle schoolers.

I am so blessed to have so many wonderful people in my life.  Much love to you all!

Fall Fun!

Cheap Fun!

Here come the leaves Mama!!

Well, fall is definitely here.  We are swimming in leaves at our new house and the girls are enjoying it!  Abigail is so inquisitive as of late.  She asks me...."Mom, why are the leaves different colors? Why are they falling from the trees?" Why, why...etc.  My favorite is to listen to her make up the answers when I ask why back.
My Kenny.  So glad she in not having to butt-scoot around in this mess.  Oh, what it a relief it is!
I don't know if it is all girls, but my girls love to squeal and scream.  It brings a smile to my face for the first couple of minutes and then I need ear plugs.  They find so much delight in one another.  One of the games they have made up is call "Hello Dearie".  One sits at the table while the other one comes around the corner and they both giggle...."Heeeellllllooooo  Ddddddeeeeaaaarrrriiiiieeee". Love it!
"Look Mom, I am making the leaves fall"
Fall is not always fun because it means an end to summer, but the pictures are always great!

Wait, do I see a new dog in this picture?

 Meet Charlie
Charlie is 1 year old English Lab.  (emphasis on the 1 year old).  He is such a puppy!  We adopted him from another family that was a little overwhelmed by him and at times I can see why.  Mostly though, we are growing to love him.  He is smart, energetic, cuddly, and hairy.  Welcome Charlie.
