On the road to recovery!

We are still here and doing so much better! Abbi is on her last day of antibiotics, which I think I am more excited about it than she is since one of the side effects is diarrhea. She is done with her cough and is back to her old feisty self!! We have to go back to the doctor next week to make sure both her UTI and her ear infections are gone..........but, she is definitely running around like her old crazy self!! It is great to see her smiling again. She continues to amaze us with her smarts. My sister gave her an alphabet "computer" for Christmas and she loves it. She already knows how to spell all of the three letter words....pig, cat, bat, hat, jam, bed, etc. Abbi is dying to go to school and can't wait for her turn to go on the big bus!

Kenny is doing much better as well, just a little cough and runny nose. She has been such a trooper. She continues to be so verbal and loves to copy everything we say. The other day she sang her version of Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star in the car. It was priceless! Here are her lyrics "tinkle, tinkle, star, ...wonder...are, up bove world high, diamond sky, tinkle tinkle star, wonder are". She also sings "I am a Child of God" with me when I put her to sleep. Kenny is getting better at standing and fighting back against her big sis. Her favorite toy is a drum stick (she wants to sleep with it). I can only think that this is her favorite to let her sis know when she has had enough. (Abbi has the marks to prove it).

Rizz is just about done with the dining room. Remodeling has taken a back seat with all the sickness in the house. It is looking so great! He really is a trooper for putting up with me and is quite the contractor! I'll post pics of the finished product. He is still busy at work and fighting off what the girls had. He is dying for a good night sleep, as am I. =)

I am just about over my cold and have started my church workout group again. It has been great not only to exercise again, but to see my friends on a more regular basis. =). My last day of therapy was Monday...it was a tearful goodbye to my therapist. 3 long months of working together to fix my still not fixed knee. It seems that my mom and I both build scar tissue and faster rates than others, so I still have to be vigilant about stretching and massaging my knee every night for about an hour. I am determined to get this thing back to normal!!!!! Ugh, that is all I will say about that......oh, except thank you to my dear husband for working on my scar tissue every night. Even my therapist was impressed that he helps me, she said most of her patients didn't have anywhere near that kind of help.

Sorry for the wordy post.... it has been awhile and our printer died, so no new pics to post.

Love to all of you that check in our on normal but lovely life. =)
