8 and 1/2 weeks and counting

For some reason I thought, yeah, the doctor will tell me that I have a special pregnancy and I am going to do the speed version this time and deliver and full term baby in May...........well, obviously I was wrong, but we did get the exciting news of our due date, November 4. Yes, I am still planning on coaching volleyball. Amy and I have decided we'll make it work. =) I know Valerie is laughing at this point. The baby is doing well, heart beat and everything is right on track. We are so excited for the new addition to our family and can't wait to introduce Abbi to her new sibling.

Status report on the knee: good news, I am walking at a speed that is a little faster than a turtle, but walking nonetheless. I was excited. I still use my crutch when holding Abbi or trying to transfer objects, but we are definitely surviving. Abbi was sick this past week and so it has really helped these past two days that she is doing much better. My parents and husband have been wonderful troopers helping out with the whole ordeal. I've included pictures of Abbi's new favorite ride. It is how we are able to manage trucking everything around, an old lady walker and her bumbo seat.

I hope everyone is out enjoying the sunshine. I am drooling at it from my window. Can't wait to get out there again. Lots of love to you all. Abigail turns the big ONE years old next week. Wow!!

When it rains, it pours!

Sorry, no pics for now. This has been a crazy couple of days. Rizz got sick last Friday, Abigail starting teething two more teeth Saturday, and the best yet..........I dislocated my knee Saturday night playing volleyball. Yeah, great timing huh? I am so bummed!! I went to the emergency room Saturday night got all checked out and went to see my orthopedic doc today. Good and bad news.......no ligaments are torn, but the knee cap went outside of my knee and came back in which most likely caused soft tissue damage. I am in the thinking that after a couple of weeks I will be walking fairly normal again and continue to strengthen the knee for a couple more years until surgery can be done. That sounds like a plan to me. =). I definitely am ready to be off crutches and walk on my own. My poor hubby has been taking care of it all while I lay on the couch getting jiggly. Funny how life changes in an instant. I am hoping the one on the way is doing great. I have my first oby visit on Thursday and hope to post after that visit. Gotta go get the leg up.

Love to you all!
Bobbi
